Wink

Owned the car for 2.5years and done 51,000miles in it.. (now on 127,000miles)

Just put a knock link on... and it's not knocking

First two green lights flicker from 4500rpm to 7000rpm but nothing else

Best add some more mods then... LOL..

RE: Clutch,

Absolutely fine.. no slip.. it has just started a hint of judder when cold but I expected that.. most likely the flywheel causing that anyways.

Very happy with it.. and done what 5,000miles I think.

RE: Knock,

Shame - changed the filter and its knocking like a bu99er!

Doh doh doh...

The air box seemed to be a bottle neck and the car is like a beast now but knocks on my high boost map.. running lower boost map now.. think it might be lambda.. although the AFR Monitor says the lambda is working I am not sure it is working as it should..
Popping lots on overrun.. and knocking at about 4000rpm.. and occasional safe mode.. absolutely fine on standard map..
Changed the plugs tonight to no avail.

Exhaust is even blacker then normal.. spark plugs were not brown like normal but grey.. not what I would have expected if running rich though..

Ho hum..

Halfords Lamdba sensor tomorrow then.

Could well be the Lambda JGM, I found the plugs looking like yours when it would not pass the MOT emissions test. I changed the Lambda and it all cleared up perfectly.

Lambda sensor won't causing the knock at 4K RPM though will it? More likely the filter causing a leaning out of mixture and/or boost spikes.

Speak more tomorrow David...

It is now running fine on standard map.. but still popping lots..

Not leaning out as AFR is fine..

Could be boost spikes I guess..

Happy that I can drive it as it is on standard map with no knock and not lean until I get hold of a lambda to test it etc..
