Bosch sensor and bracket - need quick answer pleeease

Quick answer on this one please, when you have removed the foresaid bolt and got a longer one.

The bracket near the no.s which the original bolt held down - do you put the sensor on top of the bracket or kinda move the bracket out the way so sensor is DIRECTLY on block

I've seen some with the bracket on top of the new sensor. I put my sensor on top on the existing bracket as the pipes weren't long enough to let the brack sit on top of the new sensor and I wasn't gonna force it. I didn't like the idea of the bracket flaping around and couldn't think of any reason it would interfere with the sensors operation.

I have my sensor sitting on top of the bracket as well. Most pics of installs I've seen have it like this as well.
