loosing boost

Check the plastic pipe from the turbo to the intercooler as well. The one on my 93wrx had split around the "flexible" section near to the turbo. I replaced it with a samco one and it's fine again After cleaning the boost solenoid and replacing this pipe I went from 0.5bar to 0.75 bar
The clips he is refering to are the green ones under the dash which puts all the solenoids/fans etc into test mode and means the brake cleaner can get into the solenoid. You should hear it clicking away and the fans will keep turning themselves on if you have done it right

My early wrx seems to have a boost leak of some kind. I noticed that i was only holding a maximum of 9psi on the boostguage the other day, this has since dropped to around 7.
Any ideas what is likely to be leaking and where i should check? Or anything else which could be causing this loss of boost.
IIRC it should be 11.5 psi held

Is it not giving you the proper boost above around 4k rpm?
You could have one of a few problems, the main one being either a clogged solenoid or a clogged wastegate which means that the car thinks there is more boost pressure than normal and bleeds it off (ive had this problem, it takes a few mins to sort out as you just clean out the pipes )
