Overboost on my MY01 WRX PPP?

Noticed it this morning on the way to work. Worried something might be wrong
Peaked in 5th at 1.4 bar+ on motorway
Then when i got on the A road i was getting:
1st: 1 bar
2nd: 1.2 bar - im sure its supposed to be limited?
3rd: 1.2 bar
4th: 1.2 bar
I might be going mad as it was raining and its the first cold day for ages - but shouldnt 2nd gear boost be limited or is something amiss?
Any ideas guys?

That sounds pretty similar to my MYO1 although I've got a decat as well as PPP.
Often see 1.4 peaks in 5th and holds about 1.3 to 1.35.
2nd normally holds 1.2 to 1.25 (some peaks of 1.3) as does third and fourth (sometimes a little bit higher in 4th). Hope that makes sense

Jza, I saw 1.4 on sat night (UK300 PPP) 4th year uphill, going 60-70mph with 3 up and then floor it full throttle. Have spoke to dealer before and on here and its seams ok. By the way that's using a Lamco boost gauge which reads Mpa. I think converting back to Bar works out slighly less.

i have a 97 UK wagon with full HKS exhaust system, Blitz induction kit and baileys dump valve...wot sort of boost pressure should i be expecting to get. I have just bought the car and it has got a boost gauge on it but its in PSI?
Don't know much about this boost pressure business can anyone shed some light on it?
