Looking into getting one of these, as it is reasonably priced and looks the dogs. So just looking into what some existing owners feedback is.
What does it sound like?
Is it a good fit?
cheers in advance

I have a Sti 5 Type R, it has a full system inc de-cat at present, the backbox is not as 'beefy' as I would like, it sounds good, don't get me wrong. I just want that perfect sound!

The Firestorm seems great!
I want to replace my original exhaust on my STI8 -2003.
Anybody using the TSL backbox and decat center section with original cat downpipe, does the boost come earlier with this setup or do you need to decat the downpipe too?

simb, do it m8, they sound and look excellent. The only down side is that when fitted on a Type R with full decat they can drone a bit at about 80mph so not perfect for motorways but neither are Type R's for that matter. Turn up the music!!

Will do, think it's gonna be a big difference going from the Magnex to the Firestorm. Although the rest of the system is standard, so perhaps it wont be too bad !
Will try and get some pics once it's done.

I sold mine and replaced it with a TSL grp N jobbie. It made a horrendous racket. It'll leave your ears ringing after a long motorway journey. If you value yours and your passengers hearing get the GRP N or an SS one, cut the tailpipe off and fit a slashcut of your prefered size. I recon 4" is the max. 5" is a bit too 'maxpower' for me. Each to their own though.
PS. My cars a fully decatted 02

Cheers lads for the comments so far, looks like the advantages outway the disadvantages.
Triple X - Not to bothered about the ringing ears after a long motorway drive, its all part of the fun.

Right..
Just home after getting it fitted, took all of 15 mins from start to finish.
Absolutely brilliant
Yes, very loud, double the noise of the Magnex, doesn't help having a wagon either but worth every penny.
All i need to do know is think of excuses when the missus hears it !
