Setting SECS alarm MY02 Decat
#1
Hi Mods
If I have posted in Drivetrain and not in Interior by mistake please acept my apologies..
I have a MY02 with full decat / ITG and an EcuTEk example re-map from Nick here in Cumbria.
I'm not to sure what I should set the alarms to for the SECS?? what would be a reasonable alarm level for boost / afr Knock correction and the like...?
For example the boost alarm is "factory" set at 14.7PSI (1 Bar I guess) and it sets off during overtaking and spirited driving (tm)
Thanks for the help

On Bar something like 1.25 would be good
On coolant temps mine hangs around the 90 mark so I set it for 97
Though its best to watch these and see where they peak and put the alarm around the peak mark.....or just over

Thanks for the reply and have more time to look at the SECS whilst driving. Hence the late resurection of this thread.
I would welcome your (and others advice)..
the Afr hovers around 1.00 at idle but lowers to 0.9 (ish) whilst driving. Is this too lean ?? More worrying the KC is zero at low load but gets to 8 - 10 degrees whilst driving. Does this mean that the OEM knock sensor is active and I need to get things re-checked out or is the ECU coping ??
Thanks

sorry....CT is set to 97 degress not 92....fan seems to come on at 96.5 degrees. You seem to be getting the same figures as me for the LA and KC. I think the KC can go up to 12 but anything below zero is bad (detonation).
