(and not because of lead foot syndrome)

Not me this time, but a mate has a 98 forester s/tb who is using 5l of go-juice in 35km of 'driving miss daisy' style pootling about. Lambda has been replaced already, only mods are a decat and cold air intake.

That's 6mpg !

Any ideas ?

Steve,
5l in 35Km? Sounds more like 20 mpg?
If around town then it sounds about right. I tend to get about 25 mpg on mixed fast travelling with exhaust and air filter mods.
I gather Power Engineering have some experience of the Forester if your mate is in the same area as you.
