Question

Has anyone fitted one of these to their 7/8 yet. I changed the exhaust on mine to a TSL center + BB and decided to try and improve the breathing so stuck in a K&N Panel Filter.

My thoughts are that the car revs more freely, but as far as performance not sure?

From what I have read on here the std filter on the new STi is supposed to be very good anyway and you have the cold air feed coming from the front of the car.

So I don't think many people have bothered to change the filter IMHO.

Wink

Need to speak to John Banks. The air filter/box is not a bottle neck in the system, but it will sound good

How are things like this viewed by IM if there happens to be a problem with the car and it was non-prodrive aftermarket parts, etc on it? (I understand the exhaust should be ok but what about the air filter?)

Rus if there was a problem then I would put the standard one back on. If they made an issue about the exhaust I think that would be the last time I bought a Scooby.

I only say this because of peole on here who have had warranty problems on their cars (MAF's, etc) and warranty was voided because thay had an aftermarket filter on (Panel and Induction)

Still.........If the car runs better, B*******S to them

I had a K&N panel filter in mine from new but changed it to an induction kit before it was run in .... therefore i cant tell you which is better.
