Question

Hi !

I am currently upgrading my STI8 and I am trying to find out if there is any product or DIY-kit that can automate the manual waterspray of the STI8 to trigger when it is needed(temp above a user defined limit)

yes, there are a few, I have also seen a DIY one also, but you need an electronics back ground.

Folks

I believe that it does automatically spray anyway, I hardly ever use the spray and yet the level of water does decrease.

I also think I remember reading a post from Mr Mike Wood on here somewhere and he said that it is automatic.

Maybe I've got a leak?

Question

Hmm, I have also read things about the water spray on the STI8 being automatic but the manual say that when pressing the water spray button it sprays for x-seconds nothing about it being automatically activated.
I have seen ads about the US. STI having automated water spray though...

If I recall correctly, Mike said that it becomes automatic only in extreme circumstances.

Andy.

I have just purchased one of these from the Scoobyshop and am awaiting delivery. Its a basic kit which does not include the loom and box.

The waterspray is automatic with a manual over-ride. If your's isn't using any it's because it doesn't need to.

thanks for that input Mike!

I have been running in my STI8 so I guess the temps has not been high enough for the waterspray to trigger then...
