Question

Fitted PPP some months ago on my STI7,and now added Prodrive special Fuel pump, and boost pressure Gauge (Apexi), I am very worried about peak value of boost pressure:

in 6th gear at full acceleration the gauge marks 1.6 Bar peak and 1.4 held...

Is It Normal???

in lower gears, maximum peak is about 1.4-1.5 and 1,3-1.4 held...

What are your values???

Thank you for help me, FEDE

Integra,

Not sure about bar readings, but my Autometer boost gauge peaks at 21psi and drops to about 19 when I am gunning it.

I did treat myself to the Delta Dash software the other day but haven't had a chance yet to go out and do a dyno run on it. Then I'll know if the gauge is acurate or very slighty out...

1 bar = 14.5 psi, so 21 psi is 21/14.5 = 1.45 bar.

I'd get myself a Knocklink to monitor detonation for peace of mind.

Not sure what the boost is supposed to be on the new age STIs with PPP however 1.6bar seems high to me.

Cheers,

George.

Integra,

My understanding is that you get 1.4b somewhere in the 3000-4000rpm area but what is you boost at/above 6000rpm ?

at 5000 rpm is about 1.2-1.3 but I'm afraid of the 1.6 bar peak...
