New Afterburner stealth
#1
Just got back from Hayward and Scott with my new centre decat and back box. Excellant service and quality as expected.
However, how noisy is a regular Afterburner then????? 'Cos I'm creeping up on no one with my stealth !!!! I'm no shandy drinker but I find the setup far too boomy. Which is weird because the afterburner I heard was the same sound and noise level? Surely they don't 'coke' up, and get quieter over awhile?
Scoobyworld are true to their word so I'll look to change. Any suggestions? Mach2 or Hayward and Scott's own rear box. Is there much to choose between them?

I thought exhausts got louder as they got coked up?
If you've taken off a standard backbox and catted / resonated mid pipe you're gonna think its loud, take a ride in a car with a HKS or Blitz system then you'll know loud

Thanks for that. All very interesting....I used to run a decatted MR2 Turbo with HKS HIPER and it was sweet and much much quieter than the Afterburner. I realise it isn't a great comparision and I am Richard Burns. But Jeez maximum respect to those who live with it.
