Duty on my Bosch coils...is this tight!!!
#1
I imported 2 lots of coils from Oz, I have just received a duty invoice from DHL for £40.15 is this right?!?!?!?!
The items were valued at £106.00, the freight was £28.89 so the total value for customs duty was £134.89.
The total for VAT purposes is £145.36, so £25.43 for VAT and £10.00 admin charge for DHL!!!!
Suddenly doesn't seem so cheap!

BTW, that is cheap, where did you get that price for coils? I'm in the middle of organising a group buy and haven't been able to get a price that good!
Looks like you've paid less duty than normal as well.
Import duties should be (price+ 17.5% VAT) + 10% duty

I'll check all the invoices tomorrow, I worked it out at £85.00 for each set including duty and as you say this does sound cheap!!!
