Does anybody please please please know if there are any (and what they are) differences between the hydraulic lifter type cam and the solid lifter type cam with shims .Thanks in advance. karl

The hydraulic ones don't run any tapet clearance whereas the solid ones run 8 thou on the intake and 10 thou on the exhaust But if you're interested in lobe centre, lift, duration etc, then I'll have to dig out the book.
