HI ALL
i have a my95 uk turbo with a full decat, today i have added a dawes afr meter, a dawes boost controller and a pipercross induction kit, before i uped the boost on first run i drove to check what my reading were on afr meter and it was well in green, iv uped the boost to just below 1 bar, (before it was running .7 bar) and it is a lot more responsive ect and the afr meter is now showing amber / green, which is great but it seems that half way throu each gear manily 2nd and 3rd im getting a very slight miss and then is ok until next gear selected, and i also seem to be getting an electrical buzz sound from rear of car just after boost, have i done somthing wrong or has any one got any ideas before i do some damage.
cheers si

The AFR should be at least as rich as it was before.
You should have a knocklink for that degree of boost increase.
There is a lot more to think about to set this up properly and safely to make sure your engine last more than a few days. Boost is not just a dial you can turn up - your MY95 has a big turbo which can do a lot of damage if you get it wrong.
Fuel pressure - pump, regulator
Injectors - what duty cycle are they running
Spark plugs - condition and gap, heat range#
Ignition timing - don't assume the ECU will cover it for you - knocklink required
Fuel cut - at 0.3 bar above standard you may find this soon

thanks john
i didnt realise there was so much involved in a .3 more of boost, i used to have a cossie and used to go from 1bar to 2bar for track days ect with no messing. i was told that an afr meter would be ok as long as it was outta the red, thanks very much for your help mate ill put it back to standard until i can afford to get the above done.

Not saying you need them all just think about them. If you double boost on a Scooby with nothing else done apart from an exhaust it will blow up.
Would suggest getting a knocklink and then having a play with it. If the knocklink stays quiet and it drives smoothly you'll be a lot safer than just tuning by AFR as you are at present.
