Unhappy

I recently had to send back a Samco hose kit for my car after I found that the turbo-intercooler pipe didn't fit - the branch ends were too short. I wondered if anyone else has come across this problem - Samco say that it's a one-off but I have my doubts. I'm back on the original hoses now.

I ordered a set for my MY00 and didn't experience any problems. The silicone pipes were a lot more flexible than the OEM plastic ones and I found it very easy to line everything up and re-fit the intercooler. Did you remove the 2 elbow pipes from the intercooler first ? It's a lot easier than fighting with them still in place.

I've only heard of fitting issues with the Samco inlet pipe not the turbo kit. I think you were just unlucky

Andy.

Thanks for that Andy - I tried every combination I could , removing the inlets etc etc. When I measured the new against the old there was a definite difference in length which no amount of flexibility could make up!! Maybe I'll give it another go and order another set, they certainly look a lot more aerodynamic than the OEM hoses. At least next time refitting the intercooler should be a smoother operation than it was this time!!

I had the very same problem, MY99...
Ordered a set of Samco's and they won't fit, even when I was pulling and squeezing like hell.
Finally I sent them back, ..., a few weeks later they send me EXACTLY the same...
So I made the y pipe longer by using a watertube from a truck...
I recently contacted Samco and send them foto's and so but never had an answer drom them.... strange....
