My next mod is going to be raising the manifold, a 76mm (3inch)inlet, parallel fuel mod, bigger injectors and move the power stearing pump.

I know Andy's used 19mm alloy and 10mm nylon spaces on his car, has anyone used the same size of spacers on a late phase one 98 UK car?

For anyone that has done the fuel rail mod, how did you go around attaching the new fuel lines to the old rails.

Mark @ lateral performance can sort you out with a fitting for the fuel rail mod..

I would imagine that you could raise the inlet on the later ones a fair bit as well.. not sure about 29mm though.

best method (by far) I've seen yet is to fit a late phase 1 inlet manifold from a 97-98 car. Just needs a microswitch for idle switch and a little wiring for the throttle position sensor.

Get one with all the plumbing and it's easy

Reposition power steering resvoir, bend power steering pipes.

Thanks David/Paul

Mark's helping me with the fuel line's and anodised ends.

Has anyone got a spare set of 19mm alloy and 10mm nylon spacers?
Failing that I'll get the material from RS and get a set made up, but it would be great if someone had these made up already, and could send them up to me

Thumbs up

No worries David, I have just finished making a set of 10mm glass filled nylon inlet spacers, wish I had a digi cam.

My folk's are going to kill me, because I have just trailed nylon fillings through their new carpet
They were stuck to my feet, and decided to dislodge themselves at the worst possible moment

I'm a bit as to where all the pipe's will be relocated that are currently connected to the Samco inlet, when I fit the stainless steal jobbie.
The one from the carbon canister can be vented to atmospher?
I think there are another three pipes attached, do you guy's know where they should get re-routed to?
Theres one that sit's on top of the inlet and joins to an alloy pipe that runs along the top of the inlet.
Theres one that sit's on the middle right side behing the PS res, and there's one next to the mouth of the turbo on the right middle, that joins on to the dump valve IIRC?

I've got all the stuff for the parallel fuel rails too, I take it you t from the filter to the L/R rail closest to the front of the car, then from the L/R rail closest the bulk head, t to the FPR?
