Driving around to a friends last night to get him to look at why my car was only boosting to 6psi, then suddenly started to loose all power and smoke began pouring out the back and from the bonnet
So pulled over and lifted up the bonnet, there was oil all down one side of the engine bay and the loverly fragrance of burning oil (Yum). After the smoke cleared I couldn't really see where the oil had came from.Checked the dipstick which showed no oil and then I noticed that my air filter was covered in oil.I removed the cone filter from the end and there was loads of oil in the filter and the pipe work was all filled with oil.
Its very strange as I then put in a litre of Oil and tried starting the engine, it started and idled fine and no smoke was being produced from the exhaust.The car is a MY93 WRX (de-cated and K&N induction kit).
Then called AA to come and pick me up, 2 hours waiting for a flat bed lorry. Could my night have got any worse !

So if anybody can help please let me know ?

Gees. That sounds bad.
Just guessing: turbo failure?
