Posting on behalf of a friend who has a MY94 to which he just fitted a Pipecross cone induction kit.
He has reset ECU and runs on Optimax and OB.
He feels there is a hesitation up around 4000rpm. Took me out in it for the first time, therefore I couldn't compare.
Car defo not in limp mode and doesn't have an AFR fitted as yet.
Is this normal or is he just imagining something that 'aint there?

Probably running leaner than it was before. I don't know that MY... but that's probably 'end of spool-up' point & the additional airflow isn't being compensated for by the ECU with enough additional fuel. This means that the air/fuel ratio is wrong for acceleration, hence the 'hesitation'.
