Just wondering if anyone has disconnected the cabin heater from the coolant loop. Does the cabin heater run off its own water circuit ie disconnecting that will only stop flow thru it, and no other component connected in series.

Tks.

The heater matrix is fed directly from the back of the block, it can be bipassed, I did when my matrix split.

Cheers Tim. Thats precisely the reason - mine started leaking coolant into the cabin. Instead of buying a new one, I just had it bypassed since we never use the heat in our 30degC weather. Just checking if I have inadvertantly affected anything else (essential) by doing so.

Tks.
