K+N cone , or panel filter
#1
After going fully for a fully decatted exhaust I found that moving from an itg panel filter to the K&N 57i induction kit definitely gave better breathing higher up the rev range. I guess that in my case with the freely flowing exhaust, the intake had become a bottleneck.

Hi there m8 i have a sport and spoke to a local garage about panel and induction filters and they said i would be better off with the panel filter as the induction one causes problems with the air mass sensor after a period of time.He has had a few come back to him with the problem.Hope this helps.....

Which is better for the engine a k+n cone filter induction kit or a panel filter in the standard air box ? i've got a cone at the moment but after going on the rollers and only getting 202bhp i was wondering whether the cone filter was not good for the motor , i have a bailey dump valve , I did have a japanese sports exhaust with standard cat downpipe but i now have a magnex back box with a straight through sti centre pipe with resonator removed and have just fitted 4 new coils , which filter would be better? (car is a 94 wrx wagon)
