Question

Is there a "standard" place for a leak to appear on a 97UK turbos steering system.

And any suggestions as to how to reomve the huge stain on my drive would also be appreciated.

Cheers,

Leigh

Mine had a problem with the header tank, there is a rubber 'o' ring under it that can perish and leak, also the rubber pipes can go hard and leak too. Fix by replacing these bits. If this is the problem with yours it will be obvious as the fluid drains down the timing belt cover onto the manifold!!

Yep, just to ad "backup", have a look at the "O" ring under the resovoir tank, the main pump assy is normally bomb proof from leaking. only other item to check is the steering rack boots, but for these to perish is fairly rare.

mine is also leaking, but from under the car. There are two pipes which connect up to the rack and its from this point that they leak. Can anyone tell me if there is an 'o' ring at these points which will need replacing???
