Question

would there be much point in linking a 5th injector and an ebc with overtake boost option, so that when already running high boost eg 1.5 u could, for a short period run about .2 more with the fifth injector providing extra fuel to avoid leaning out?

It is an excelent idea. But someone here said something about the 5th injector being in the wrong place to give fuel to the no 3 cylinder or something. But if thats the case, why did the Subaru engineers designed it that way for rallying? There are many things that we don't understand.

I hear that the best person to ask about the 5th injector is Pavlo and David Wallis. You should e-mail them and ask them to make a map for it. Tell me if you're successful mate.

no, we are not the best person / people to speak to as we are not interested in the 5th injector...

4x 850cc injectors with increased fuel pressure is enough for me.

Katana..

Learn assembler etc... and decode the software in the ecu yourself.

If a fifth injector is the same size, an extra 20% fuel is a little coarse. Why not just use four injectors at sensible fuel pressure of the correct size rather than have poor fuel distribution with a single extra injector?

Andy F on his 95RA found that the 5th injector does nothing. I think he either put methanol through it or put it in the bin. Either way he went faster

Also just because you can add extra fuel does not mean that the turbo, internals, intercooler, timing are suitable for the extra boost.

Whilst being lean is one cause of detonation throwing fuel in does not solve the problem in a lot of cases.
