Open cuby hole behind handbrake. 2 screws hidden by plastic caps, remove these and then pull that section upwards gently but forcefully if you know what i mean. Remove that and then that reveals the section around the gear lever.
With a flat screwdriver insert between bottom of gear **** and the gear gaiter, twist screwdriver and the shoul seperate. Unscrew the gear ****, it is a very long thread, so will take a while.
Once done that, pull the plastic surround up from the handbrake end. Lift over gear **** and you can then look completey at thhe linkage.
