Question

Hello,

I'm looking at getting a replacement panel filter for my car but am a bit overwhelmed with the numerous options on offer.

My current car spec goes like this:

RB5 with PPP
Prodive BB replaced by ScoobySport one
Standard Subaru air filter
I plan to get myself a ScoobySport Downpipe (no cat) in the near future also.

All I want is something quick and easy to fit to complement my existing mods. I'm not interested in any of these oiled filters which can cause problems (don't go there!).

Looking in the ScoobyShop I've the following Filters look like they might fit my criteria:

1) ITG Performance Panel Air Filter (Clean every 30k) @ £47
2) ITG Hi FLow Panel Filter (Replace every 30k) @ £47
3) K&N Panel Filter (Clean every 100k!) @ £50.08

Any recommendations / experience anyone out there's had I'm keen to hear about.

Thanks,

Gary.

LOL who is claiming 100,000 miles for a K&N????

There's a graph of the MIRA filter test on my website. It shows how the filters flow as they age.

motomc1,

cheers for the reply, which of the two ITCs do you recommend? The one I can clean or the "Hi Flow"?

Gary.

Exclamation

Hows about a JR Panel filter?

JW Racing swear by these and give a pretty good argument for them on their website!

I swapped my ITG for one a while back and everything Jamie said was true.

Gary/Pete,
I think K&N claim the filter will last 100,000 miles, not that it only needs cleaning every 100,000 miles
