Can I fit a P1 back box to my MY99?
I currently have a Magnex BB but find it a bit boomy in the car, will the P1 BB be quieter or should I go for a PPP backbox?

2 P1 backboxes one is stamped Sti and was the original fit. V quiet
but looks good - single round tailpipe but v restrictive.
Prodrive upgrade BB stamped P1, nice burbly sound but a lot softer than say scooby sport (H&S) BBs.Again single round tailpipe

Both should fit as P1 is effectively MY99

Possibly. I found it very quiet around town and motorway but with a deep growl once you really pushed it. Can't be certain tho'

I've got the P1 stamped Prodrive backbox on my MY00 turbo. It is quite loud - wouldn't think it would be a lot different to your Magnex.

 

The Magnex is bassier (all the time) and is louder at the bottom end. The P1 box is quite quiet at low revs/off boost and gets loud when you get beyond 3000/full boost and then is comparible to the Magnex. (IMHO )
