Hi everyone.

I've got a scoobysport backbox on my sti7, and was wondering how loud it was. I'm thinking of doing a track day, but the noise limit is 103db(A) at 0.5m with the engine running at 3/4 of the rev limit. Any idea whether the backbox will exceed these limits?

Thanks,
Iain

I have a full de-cat (original)ScoobySport system on a classic, I got it tested at Goodwood and it registered just over 102db at 3/4 revs

It is a particually loud Scoobysport

Should give you some idea!!

Iain.

At full throtle on a rolling road I was measured at 112db

So if i wanted to do a track day, i would probably have to change my system! I have a full decat with Blitz exhaust and with the bung/baffle out, it was 118DB! If i put the baffle in, i dont think it will reduce it right down to 103DB. Doh

YOu could always use my twin pea shooter back box for Track days and another plus beside the noise would be, it'll sound a lot better than the bung

Wink

Money just guessing here but my blitz does seem a lot quieter with bung in certainly at high revs so surely 10% less rumble & thus OK?

Nah ive got a twin box at home and a prodrive one but they are boring! lol. Plus its the hassle of changing it!

The Blitz exhaust with the bung in, still sounds much better than yours krade! lmao. Told you to go for Blitz or HKS
