Clutch pedal still sticking down at high rpm after bleed
#1
My clutch pedal is still sticking down during high rpm changes, yet doesn't slip and operates fine under 6500 revs.
I bled the whole system the other day to no avail. Been told the clutch is shagged and could be the fork sticking but not convinced.
Helllppppp!!!!

HI,
I have the same problem and iīve come to the conclusion that itīs oil leaking on to the clutch ,so the disc will burn on to the flywheel (donīt know if it makes sense)
I too have no slip! , and itīs only on hard driving.
I noticed that there was missing some oil on the gearbox,so i got this stuff wich will stop oil leaks,i but it in 3days ago and itīs allready better!!!
It will stay that way for now til i upgrade my gearbox

Velo,
Itīs from a company here in Denmark called"Abcon oilstop leak".
Iīve now been driving some more, but it dosenīt get any better, maybe my clutch is on the way out again(changed it spring last year)
My OE pressureplate was strenghted 40% still using the OE Face,so i think it are harder on the face(Hope you know what i mean by face)

hmm i take it you still have the return spring on the clutch inside the engine bay?
mine disappeared and i was warned that a clutch pedal sticking to the floor would be the result.

The clutch pedal assy on scoobs is not like other cars ie the spring works both ways it will lock the pedal up and down, you probably saw this when bleeding it.
It requires presure from the clutch cover to push the pedal up again, so it is probably your cover getting tired.
A simple fix would be to modify the pedal assy by adding another spring that pulls the pedal up (like any other car) should be easy to do, you could get a spring from another type of car at a breakers yard.
Sorry the bleeding didn't work, it solved my problems.

you say ...
"A simple fix would be to modify the pedal assy by adding another spring that pulls the pedal up (like any other car)"
Do you mean in the foot well - seems cumbersome,
or in the engine bay ??
