Becareful which chip you go for as some just fool boost levels and dont remap the fueling to compensate. You should be able to get something like a ECUTEK mapped ECU for tht sort of money but IMHO you are better off doing a sports exhaust (centre and backbox I did on mine) before you think of a remap as it makes a difference to the mapping.
Handling wise is easy 17s/18s with decent tyres, bumpsteer, eibachs, ALK and geometry setup.
Stay away from dump valves unless the OE one is broke then replace with an uprated recirculation type the VTA ones are noisy and arent worth the money and can make the car run rich all IMHO of course.

Keep an eye on the private sales forum as they do appear regularly in fact not much use to you but a set went recently in the surrey area so they are out there. BIG CHECK THOUGH whether they fit over the 4 pots brakes as some wont it would be a shame to buy a set of 17s and find you cant fit over your 4 pots.
Maybe worth giving the local subaru garage a ring or a local specialist and see if they have any second hand sets in. Or ask in southern meets section somebody may have a set in their shed.
