Did mine on the weekend mate, piece of pi55.
Hex nut needs 21mm socket. Its located centrally just behind the rear of the plastic undertray.
Lee,used Castrol Syntrax after reasearch into what people used
and recommended on this forum.Got 4 litres for 27 quid delivered
via Castrol website (you gotta phone them to order).Halfords
charge 9.99 per litre ! Its specially formulated for Jap Gearboxes
and has definately improved shifting.I used about 3.7 litres.

I put syntrax in mine and used about 3.75 litres and even then it was slightly over full on the dipstick. Much better than before.
See Syntrax transformed my box thread also.

I topped my box up today with about a litre of syntrax, but this will have gone in on-top of what the main dealer will have used.

What do the main dealers use, and is it OK to mix them?

having only done a 1500 miles since its last service, I also wonder whether it was even checked by the S dealer.

If you can't get castrol syntrax, Silkolene syn 5 is also good, recommended by various tuners.
