The phase 2 rails I have are one piece, making mounting of a different FPR more complicated.
The 97 NA Legacy ej25 rails I got have nice connection joints at each end of the rail - I've not measured capacity/pipework diameter yet, but if the same I'll be using these for my parallel feed build.

Im using phase 2 at the moment but have spare phase 1 rails... Im thinking of welding jic fittings on either end.. Just wondering what flow I can get through them.. as im thinking of about 200Lph through each rail

Im replacing all lines filters etc.. with -6 hosing anyway..
Im just wondering about flow through rails or whether to machine custom rails. (Similar to vishnu etc)

to my knowledge the main line down the car having done a few calcs ages ago, is more than capable of flowing well over 600bhp.
Consider how quickly it would empty a bucket then imagine if your fuel tank would ever empty at that speed. I would assume that at massive (>500) power people would be using extra fuel pumps personally.
Replacing fuel lines is a good idea in my book, especially if creating custom fuel rails. Mostly because they are prettier!!!

well I wasnt going to say... but what the heck
Im running....
2 walboro's in tank... in boot swirl / surge tank.. and then two undecided bosch pumps in the boot... one for each rail..
then through a twin feed fuel pressure reg and return back to tank.
Porsche filters are supposed to be ok.. (dunno which)
Mark can supply the sx performance billet alloy fuel pressure regs.

I can't ever see the phase 2 rails being a flow restriction.
Easy enough to weld some JIC bosses to the end, you can buy weld on parts off the shelf.
However, if you're going custom rails route, top feed injectors would be far easier to deal with, and I guess you know what I'm going to say next.
I can get high impedance 850cc top feed injectors.

IMO the Ph2 look better, with larger bodies for teh injectors, so I would assume better flow around teh injector.
As for fitting a FPR, there is no difference with either fuel rail, as I have had one fitted on my car, with both Ph1, and Ph2 fuel rails.
If you have tee'd the supply lines for a parallel feed, then I think the most restrictive bit would be the Tee piece itself.
Also worth considering is the 8mm supply line up the car..even if 8mm is big enough, how many restrictive bends etc are there in the factory steel tubing, followed but the 8mm fuel filter etc. All of this will cause restrictions, and make it harder work for the fuel pump.

Someone sells custom rails for side feed injectors???
Is there only one Walbro pump available for a subaru, and what HP is it rated to???
Is it necessary to replace std fuel lines if aiming for good power ( ie 450+ ) In order to maintain a good supply of fuel for a sustained run, not just a quick blast, or a power run on a set of rollers, but a good high speed run.
Is the stock fuel filter ok for the job??
Does anyone in the UK, supply good fuel pressure regulators ( ie, not fse type, more like a nice billet alumninuim type )

Hi Stevie. If you look in the Demon Tweeks catalogue you will see "bullet in line fuel filters" available in 8mm and 10mm. They are cleanable/reusable. When I fitted mine the max. fuel pressure captured on the SPA F.P.Guage was up 6psi. Burton Performance do the same thing and may be cheaper.
My F.P.Regulator came from Roger Clark Motorsport as did Steve Mc Cullochs and Bob Rawles.
Correction: Bob's came from Lateral Performance. My mistake.
