I have a MY97uk, with: -

full magnex decat
ported manifold
ported throttle body
ported intercooler pipes (entry sides knife edged - the aluminium ones)
induction kit
intercooler tilt mod & splitter
FCD (new boost cut set to 19.5psi)
Walbro fuel pump
AFR guage

Now with a bit of trickery with restrictors i was getting 17.5 psi held boost (from 3,500 till 5500, then started dropping to 15psi at 6,250. I liked this as it wasn't peaky and the ecu could retard boost incase of detonation etc.

But as of saturday it when very peaky, which i'm not happy with, see http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=173225

I do have a dawes sitting around here, the question is do i fit it, i understand this will be less peaky. I know that the fueling is ok for 17.5 held, and there has been no det (borrowed a friends detcans).

Worth a go isn't it? Only takes 10mins to fit. I can't really help anymore than that I'm affraid You've still got an FCD and AFR... knocklink?

I haven't got a knock link though, but i know with standard @ 17.5 psi there is no knock/det
