I had hoped to get to my dealer later this week but it looks like that's not going to happen, and I really need to put oil in my car. I don't know what oil is currently in the car so would there be any risks if I were to add some Castrol RS 10w60?

On the tech sheet I have for Castrol Formula RS 10W60 it says not to mix with other synthetics, additives or vegetable based oils. You can mix it with conventional mineral-based oils though. The only problem is I dont know what oil is in the STi7 to begin with.

Thanks for the replies guys, very much appreciated.
TB - I don't have ramps to put the car on and whilst I've got a fair idea of how to do an oil change from reading up on articles on the net...my very limited knowledge of engines would probably mean I'd dump the oil in the place where the windscreen washer fluid goes! Well...maybe not that bad, but not far off!
I got the problem sorted by calling my dealer and he stayed open after hours with a mechanic to help me out.
