If I need a new coil pack.
On a damp or wet morning my car used to run worse than a two legged greyhound until a good few minutes into the journey, also when warm it missfired badly on WOT in first gear and a bit in second.
It's been getting progressively worse and in it's current state it is really rough when it's damp in the mornings below 3,00rpm, also the bad missfire is no longer contained to 1st and second but it's bad in 3rd and fourth now and just noticable in 5th.
When warm it drives fine off boost and is unnoticable until WOT and full boost is hit under load where the missfire starts.
My guess is a coil pack is knackered?
Oh and I've put new plugs in and yes they are gapped to 0.7
Was going to get a new one today but the guy didn't show, but just wanted to make sure I was on the right track
Also is there any point in buying 4 coil packs?, I've been told that I'd be very unlucky if more than one was dead, so why do people buy a set?
Cheers
James
