Question

I am trying to have the downpipe fabricated here in Trinidad, however I really need to get some good pictures in order to give the muffler guy. I am planing to use the flange off the original downpipe to make the template but I need to see the rest of the downpipe in order to get the full picture. No pun intended.

Does anyone have any pics of the downpipe preferably not fitted.
If so they can be emailed to me at jdefreitas@wow.net
Thanks.

As it happens I am driving round with a Scoobysport downpipe in the boot!! It's going on this weekend to replace the Scorpion currently fitted.

I will try to get you some piccies later.

BTW Why not talk to Scoobysport & some of the other manufacturers to see how much to send you one? Getting one made as a special in stainless ain't gonna be cheap!!!

later,

Steve.

Talking

Thanks Steve,

Believe it or not it is really not that expensive to get done here. We have the guys to do it. I really just need proper pictures to show.

I was considering ordering one from Scoobysoprt but the duty upon arrival is horrendeous...35% plus 15%vat. With that cost I am sure that I can get it done for a lot cheaper.

I would really appreciate any pictures that you can send, especially from different angles showing the change in shape from the flange to the pipe and the intertior of the flange looking down the pipe. The more the merrier!!!

Sorry I didn't get back to you, I'll go take some pic's now.

BTW, the 'shape' is exactly the same as standard d/p, only flaired & open at the neck & no cat. You can use the existing as a template for that.

Watch out for postion of fixing bracket & lambda though.

As to sourcing, buy a used on here & pay duty? Should work out the same as new UK?

If new, try Jap Innovations, NEW d/p = £175.00, + duty + vat = £50.00 more than a NEW scoobysport in UK? Just a thought mate.
