And set it up to just a tad under 1bar at wot in fourth uphill, is that safe, the car is my00 with full de-cat and panel filter, I want it safe, I don't want to end up rebuilding the engine, I could probably run a tad more boost, but will what I've got be safe?
Cheers.

Agreed with claudius (eek!
) - sounds like you're very conservative to start off with. The MY00 runs at 14PSI-ish held boost as standard, and fuel cut is at 17.5PSI..
14.7 PSI = 1 BAR.
To check fuelling you can use an AFR (air fuel ratio) meter, which'll tell you if you're running too lean. Running too lean is something you definitely want to avoid
. Either buy the dawes one, or build your own for less than a tenner - you'll need to know which is the hot end of a soldering iron tho
.

No, it only used to just hit 1.2 bar in 5th, WOT with peeps in the car so it never made it to fuel cut....well........it did once when I turned it up, but I learned my lesson when I ate steering wheel
With Tesco's 95 RON I'd be skeptical about running any more than standard boost without a knocklink, etc!

Hmm...
The boost as such is no problem.
You wont blow the engine, either.
What I am saying is that you may run a little too lean, given the standard car runs a little lean low down, and thus you may get a little det. This will not result in immediate engine failure, just premature wear. the ECU will also pull the timing, reducing performance.
