Hi guy's,

I have a bit of a prob with the car, here goes:

Wen't out for a run down the dual carridgeway local to mine last nite to meet a friend, first time i had taken the beast on a proper run, thought i would give it a blast as i had a full tank, it was fine in first and second but when i go to put my foot down in 3rd 'soemtimes' the car will not pass 4k on the rev counter, the turbo is making a hell of alot of noise and the dump valve is opening etc but the car just seems to hold back, it's a bit like a missfire if you like,

I stopped to check all the hoses etc and they all seemed fine, only thing i thought is if the bailey's dump valve keeps opening too early, thus not boosting proper,

Does anyone have any idea's to what it mightt be,

Not sure what may be causing it but that sounds like the ECU has gone into "Limp" mode - I believe it limits the revs to 4k (although there is a situation where it limits boost to 0.5 bar also).

To be honest I would get it to a dealer so that they can get the Fault code on their select monitor.

Have you tried the search on here to see if there are any other posts? I know there have been some with Boost < 0.5 bar - could be similar problems.

I'm gonna try and have a look tonight when i get back from work, hopefully i will get aleast 20mins of light...

If this comes to no prevale i will take it to a dealer as you suggested...
