Guys,
I've been running my MY99 turbo with a standard downpipe (Boo! ), 3" straight thru centre section, and 5" outlet.
The resonance is enough to vibrate the rear-view mirror at certain revs, and after nearly twelve months I'm getting a bit tired of the drone. (NOT talking about my wife, BTW! ).
Will getting a resonator box added into the centre section help reduce this much? Only I'm planning to add a de-cat downpipe after my MOT and that'll only make things worse I'm sure.
Your thoughts, please??
Cheers,
Squizz.

Hi Squizz
I had a JW Racing Centre and Back Box put on mine at the weekend as I'd had enough of the drone at cruising revs. I've got a decat downpipe and with the new centre and back box things seem to be improved. The drone is quite noticably reduced and the exhaust makes a great sound and I'm told that the sound level will reduce a little with a few more miles on the clock.

Cheers Steve.
Anyone else? I'm planning to get the 3" centre section cut/shut to add a resonator - How much room is there for one? Is there a preferred style or will something like a "Cherry Bomb" work? I take it a resonator is just an empty space...?
