I am not sure if it is normal but i am getting a loud tick tick tick noise when my engine is idling. It is loud enough to be noticable when sitting in the car, It seems to be comming from a small black cylindrical unit on the passenger side, Fuel pump? (am new to the scooby engine bay!)

If i knew how to include a pic i would but here is a link to the picture (borrowed), the unit in question is in the red circle!

Firstly is this tick tick tick sound normal and second, if so, should it be so loud as to be noticable inside the car? and when standing a few yards from the car? Any idea's!!!!

Sounds like injectors. You should here 750cc injectors! When the idles it sounds more like a diesel.
