Unhappy

I've got a wrx 95 ra , started the car from cold pulled away but then had to reverse back , full lock one way then full lock the other way , then nothing the steering went really heavy .
Looked under the car there are no leaks and have'nt noticed any leaks on the garage floor, and the level is correct.

Anyone got any ideas what it could be ? i have a guess it could be the pump or and air lock .
Anyone else had this happen to them ?

please help

thanks
nick.

check the drive belt, might be a simple case of slipping belt, other than that, only other possible thing may be one of the pressure releif valves might of stuck open. You could try adding a "power steering treatment" to the resovoir, most of the car shops sell them, I put "Forte" treatments in mine, every so often and have no problems. may be the cheaper end to start with before suspecting replacement pump etc.
