Cool

Brun, It's a LeggyT MY94 (just before the newer shape...damn).
UKSpec.

Pretty much standard in most respects.

Katana: Yeah, here's me making an electrical modification, only to break something mechanical
Was hoping someone (including yourself) from Reading might say "yeah, I have one in my garage, come get it" heh heh.

At the moment, all the pipes are blocked, and I am running without a dumpvalve. The interesting thing seems to be that the car isn't feeling any different. I had a play with the dumpvalve, and I think it has been broken since I got the car . My poor turbo.

A VTA dumpvalve would be nice if it isn't TOO loud. I have just seen too many cars with that horrid black patch above the tailpipe.

Thanks for the advice, guys: anyone got a URL / Contact details for Mark / Lateral Performance?

Unhappy

Well, while performing the earth mod to my engine bay (yes, it really does make a difference! Felt it even on my old knackered coil packs and OEM plugs!) I leant on a hose and "snick" I no longer have a functioning OEM dump valve.
So: I don't want to go for a VTA because I know they make the car run richer than it already does. Is there a recirculating dump valve that makes a nice stuttery fsht noise thrught the airfilter?

To be honest, I am in mind just to put another OEM dumpvalve on, but a little bit of subtle noise would be nice. Just not GT Turbo Stylee please.

Trust you to break a dump valve. Oh well you definately ain't the first . The VTA won't make your car any more richer to begin with, only when you lift off the throttle and thats only for a second anyway. Its the newer cars that have problems with it, not ours. But if you're adamant, just get a blitz or hks dumpvalve as I think they are the recirc type (not cheap).

What about the forge Recirc Dump Valve?

I did exactly the same thing, and it took me ages to discover what the cause of my lack of boost was Thankfully Mark at Lateral Performance (or as it was back then Bushy Tuning - sorry old joke it wasn't really called that!) had one and while I was there I fitted it an cured all, plus gained a corking bit of flutter noise

Have a word with Mark, he might have one, and their not that expensive!

Forge VTA dumper with the red spring sounds about right for you. Not a lot of whoosh, with a sprinkle of chatter.

I would certainly appreciate it if you would lend it to me/sell it to me Katana. Not having one is making me nervous every time I take my foot off the accelerator (this is a bad thing as it makes me leave my foot on a fraction of a second too long! lol)

Can I come pick it up? I promise to drool in awe at your beastie!
