I had a thought. (happens occasionally). Allegedly the MY03 is up 8bhp on the MY02, with better throttle response and slightly improved spool up (and slightly improved refinement too, I think?). Allegedly this is down to an improved exhaust manifold. The improvements sound very similar to those you see if you get the headers ported on a bugeye. Is it possible that Subaru have made a new casting for the manifold and that is effective "pre-ported"? Any comments? Do I need a flame suit?
