Question

Just been browsing the Tony Rigoli web site and saw this FMIC. The pipe work layout looks well thought out and a lot short than most (apart from the Pace).

Is there a reason more don't do this.... are the holes the pipes go thru' not there as standard (i've had my front bumper off but can't remember).

Just woundering?

Tony.

you know tony, thats a very good point.

will have to look at the pics of my car and see if this is feasible, since the front bumper is off at the moment.

From memeory of my own car i can't actually recall any holes being there like in the picture. Only the holes for the bumper bracket..... then again my memory is ****e! Also looking at the pic would the bumper actually go back on properly?

hi Tony,

That's quite an interesting setup. I've often wondered that myself, why do some FMIC feed from the top and others from the bottom, does it make a difference?

Your bumper hanger normally goes where that pipework is, so i suspect you'd have to do away with the standard hanger and fabricate some other means of support. The bumper could rest on top of the FMIC, but it's not the best solution I'd say.

On my HKS one the bumper hanger has the centre piece cut out so that the bumper rests on a bit of hanger, the top of the intercooler and then the other bit of hanger.

Would be interesting to see where the pipes go on the inside of the engine bay as you'd surely have to do some bodywork chopping.

Cheers

Rich

Here's a pic of the engine:

Interesting to see that in all the pics of the car it doesn't have a front bumper... maybe it doesn't fit back on! Also interesting to see basically all the scoobs on there have the turbo rotated.

Tony.

Hmm whos car did I see with the turbo rotated..

There isnt really enough room to do this cheaply, thats why it isnt done...

You would have to make some changes to the chassis legs... I did look at this way for mine... Still may change to this route...

Would be interesting to see what bumper they have on that as mine is a tight fit.
