Question

I've heard good things about these, would one be OK for my MY98 UK Impreza Turbo?

I've also heard that Gates actually make the genuine Subaru belt, don't know how true this is.

Any comments?

I looked into using one of these belts just a few months back. A mechanic friend said exactly the same thing...."excellent belts and probably Gates make the Subaru ones anyway."

When he priced one up for me though it proved to be nearly as expensive as the genuine part.

Gates belt £104 plus VAT = £122

Subaru belt £125 all in.

I went for the genuine part just to be absolutey sure, and to get the receipt for my records.

Pavlo,

I can get one over here in Ireland for €100 which works out at around £63 Sterling.

We at API Engines Ltd keep and use Gates all the time. Gates make belts for most manufacturers and their belts are as good as anybodys and half the price - [or so] API price is £60 plus VAT and mail, if you need one call us. 01926 614333
