Someone must be able to tell me if these things are good or bad for your airflow!!!

I’ve heard they can collect a lot of gunk?

Wink

Well you could look back for previous posts like the rest of us. It's not the first time this has been asked

Anyway, if you look in the airbox you'll notice a lot of green goo. This should be cleaned regularly.

There has been debate as too whether it knackers your MAF, but the majority seem to report no problems. I've had one in my car for 6 months with no problems to report.

To be honest, I doubt if it makes any difference to performance so if you're unsure stick to the orignal paper filters. You'll only notice a difference if you move to a induction kit and even then I'd only recommend that to compliment other mods.

A few well known cars have ran with major mods and the standard paper filter did the job.

Pete its Ian from last night (Silver MY01) most of the guys you met last night are running ITG filters with no problems at all.
When you clean it use a lint free cloth and rub the filter to get some of the major deposits off that it collects and make sure you re-fit it correctly, other than that they are quality filters.
