Just been to Local subaru dealer for some diagnostics & they say the O2 sensor is reading extremely High +18%. Should be reading Zero +/- 5%. Percent of what i don't know. The car is a MY94 UK Turbo fully decated Blitz induction, Dawes, 15 psi Boost. New O2 costs £130 + vat. Will the above mods have affected the reading ?. What should it read & are there alternatives to a Genuine O2 sensor. I.E Cheaper.

+18 what? What are the units? The MY99 and on Lambda sensors read a voltage, usually between 0-1v and the usual range being 0.8-0.9v. Perhaps they are completely different on the old models so hopefully, someone out there will have a better idea than me.....

They are talking about the air fuel correction which is the control method for closed loop lambda control. On MY99/00 if the lambda reading is too low it will go up to +25% fuel and then give up and go to zero, with a horrible fluctuation of idle speed as it does so.

Idle speed seems fine no horrible hunting Etc, It just goes like your running out of fuel when it reaches about 1/4 on the temp gauge but not always. In your wisdom is the o2 sensor @ fault as they are suggesting.

Usually if the O2 sensor is faulty then there is ZERO air fuel correction....

So in other words my car is compensating for the induction kit, No cats Etc by having a high fuel air correction . I.e Pushing more fuel through, Because its not standard subaru are seeing this as a problem maybe.
