3rd gear resonance/vibration

On my way home from work last night, I found that halfway through the journey shifting into 3rd the throw felt shorter and juddered at the end of the travel.
There is a juddering sensation if I push against the lever, but no graunching.
The car is equipped with both a Prodrive quickshift, and a Barrier Deadlock.
No problem in any other gear. No noises at all, etc.
Any ideas??
