Is Mobil Motorsport oil OK?
#1
I know some like Castrol 10/60 and others prefer Motul 300 but I've used Mobil Motorsport as it's easier to get hold of, and I haven't seen any complaints on here about it.
Is there any real reason that I shouldn't carry on using it? BTW I wouldn't use Mobil 1 as it's too thin.

I'm sure its absolutely fine, but the day before my big-end went, I had it serviced with the very same oil. It was hard driven and all that but I'm sticking with whatever the dealer puts from now on.
The 15-50 should be suited, the 0-40 as mentioned above is too thin, it was proven to be on my Legacy Turbo 7 years ago

You can get Castrol 10/60 from Halfords on special order and I bought a case of it but it took two months to arrive and loads of grief as they cocked up on the price. (I thought £24 for four litres was too good to be true.)
But there's a local go-faster shop that stocks it and I can get you a pot or two for £29.95 for four litres. I've been running it for two years now.
Cheers,
Richard.
