have a my00 with scoobysport bb and front pipe, i was going 2 swap the centre cat section for a scoobysport straight threw section
is it worth it and are there any noticable power gains? is it much louder as well?

Sorry to jump in on the thread but I was also wondering what a centre de-cat would realistically do. I know the biggest power gains are by removing the down pipe however I want to start with the centre cat. I have an MY02 with Sti7 BB.

Also will de-catting the centre make much it any louder?

Sorry for jumping in, but a similar question, is it worth getting a centre section (eg Scoobysport) if I've already got a PPP one? Does the PPP have a sports cat or something like that?

Cheers

I dont think that would make much difference. The classic shape PPP centre section has no cats but does have 2 resonators.

Scoobysport centre vs PPP resonated centre - maybe 1 or 2 bhp more, not a lot IMHO. You'll probably notice more difference in the increased noise by removing the resonator.
