I've had the Milltek fitted to my STi7 today.....feels much better thru' the rev range and great soundtrack to boot!!
Not too obtrusive, just like the P1 upgrade backbox on my old car.
Love it and next stop will be Ecutek!!
Well done to Litchfields and Milltek.
And thanks to PCB for sorting it all out for me!!

Dave,

As requested, here is your power graph:

Interesting to see that it was 31 degrees in there, which is pretty hot for the location and time of year It's also a shame to see virtually no torque gains but this is to be expected with just an exhaust replacement. Next step an EcuTek perchance?

Thumbs up

Just got one of those top quality systems fitted to my STI7. Excellent value, stunning performance. Why oh why the car never came out the tin like that I don't know. Thanks to Iain Litchfield for supplying it promptly and also the back up service quality call just to check on the size of my grin after driving the Wee Beastie now unleashed. It makes a big difference getting the right service.
It was fitted with AWD Motorsport in Perth who did a fantastic job, thanks guys they also come highly recommended.
AWD have organised a Rolling Road Test for me on Saturday so I will post the results when known.
If you drive an STI7 and want some real punch without spending £2000 then go give Iain a buzz you will not regret it I promise

I may possibly go this route too or try the Power Engineering system which is similar. The standard exhaust system is far too quiet for me, is the Milltek exhaust louder?

Glad you like it Dave

Our new exhaust is defintely sportier in sound but it is not much loader in the car, which is what most people asked for.

Iain

Ian the New exhaust sounds good.

My STi7 needs something more and if the waiting time for the Pro Drive kit doesn't improve I'll pursue the enquiry. Hope to see you on the Rolling road day at the Powerhouse on the Saturday the 16th.

Regards

Because the car had to pass EU Type Approval, something it would not have done with any of the aftermarket exhaust systems. Aftermarket systems can be louder than standard and don't have to pass the cold emmisions test, just the hot one.

Have a look here for some comparisons.

Matt

P.S. Got my eye on a Milltek myself....

Cool

I'll be at Powerstation on the 16th, it'll be interesting to see how all the different STIs compare

Matt, I knew you could not resist for long

Better than I thought also Mark. The chap setting the road up also said that the car was slipping off the rollers a little and the results could have been better!!
Think I might go for the ECU tec remap when its available.

MutantMatt and Scottish Menace

Seen the figure SM got on his rolling road. Got my Milltek 15/11/02 and went on the RR @ Powerstations, Cheltenham.

Results:-

Norm Power ------
Engine Output 282bhp
Wheel output 202.5bhp
Drag output 79.5bhp
Max.power at 98mph or 7350rpm
Troque m 248lbf-ft
Max. torque @ 52mph or 3910 rpm

What does this say about my car against Scottish Menace? Do I achieve (in theory) above 300 norm bhp? PPP guys will be p**sed if so.

Who knows but I'd doubt it. Perhaps 290 on some more "optimistic" rollers and the Torque figure @ PS always seems to be a lot lower than at other rollers.

Iam not a great believer in the rolling road figures other than when you attend a group day and at lease then that days runs are consistant against each other. The one thing I do know is that my car feels totally transformed. Roll on the ECU tech re map.

Doesnt the PPP boost the torque though? Would have thought this would have been the big selling point see as how many people complain how slow the STi7 is off boost/low revs.
