Hi all

Benn having loadsa trouble setting up my dawes, I was getting boost creep.

Just took it off, put a pipe between turbo nipple and actuator, road tested and it's still creeping.

4,000rpm in 4th 0.50bar, this holds for a while then.....

5,000rpm the boost starts to climb with the revs, I just recorded 0.89bar at about 6,800rpm (and still climbing).

I spent the day messing with me Dawes yesterday...Doh!

Anyone know what I should do to remedy?

Cheers
James

Just took the heatsheild off and the actuator seemed to move smoothly as did the wastegate itself.

Pulled it right out and WD40'd the actuator.

I took the actuator off the wastegate arm and noticed that it was set too long and the wastegate was never actually shut!

Road tested again and the boost is still creeping! Must need a new actuator I s'pose?

Only good thing is i've lost the 'blowing' sound I had before which I thought was the downpipe to turbo blowing, but since adjusting the actuator so the wastegate is shut until it should be there is no blowing noise, also the car drives better.

I've got this problem...have tried nipple to actuator, dawes to actuator, different actuator, with heatsheild, without heatsheild and am at wits end. Am going to change exhaust housing to see if this fixes it, but other than this I am running out of options.

Wastegate porting?
